Give us the strength to face the day, Jesus

My prayer of thanksgiving today:

You're the One, oh Lord, Who keeps me, You're the One Who lifts me up, You're the One keeps the fire burning within, You're the One Who does it all.  I have no strength without You.  I can't muster the strength, I must rely on You.  The works of my hands make me weary, Your works lift me up. ~Thank You Jesus.

We're standing in the desert of dry bones
But still we see Your life
Walking through the valley of shadows
But holding onto light
And we're waiting, waiting on You God
And our hearts will trust, trust in who You are

God who keeps our fires burning
Burning through the darkest night
See the hope in our hearts
The faith in our eyes
You can move the highest mountain
You can keep our dreams alive
You're the joy of our hearts
You're the fire in our eyes

Light up our lives with holy flame
All for the honour of Your name
Give us the strength to face the day, Jesus

~by Matt Redman, from the song 'Fires'.

The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.  Isaiah 58:11

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.  Jeremiah 31:25
